You, too, Cindy
]]>Thank you, Meribeth! You have been a constant voice of support over the years and, more importantly, a person who exemplifies a life well lived. You inspire all who know you and live with such compassion and intentionality, you definitely make the world a better place with each God-breath you take!
]]>Oh my sweet friend… I don’t know much, but I DO know prayer matters! And I DO know that the prayers of a few faithful prayer warriors in my life have made ALL the difference in this LAM-journey for me. I FEEL it – and I can NOT thank you enough!!! Your life is a constant inspiration to Paul and me as well as someone who took God’s commands literally and went out and changed the world. Yes, you changed (and are changing) the world, John. Talk about a life well lived, my friend… you wrote the book on it!!!
]]>Ah, YES, Kathy! The verse that encapsulates everything I was trying to say. Micah 6:8 has always been a pillar for me. Because often what I think is “good” – a long healthy life with all our healthy children and grandchildren gathered around as we bask in plenty of money, plenty of friends, and plenty of good times and never struggle with relationship issues with anyone – is not at all what God says is good. He has shown me – this mere mortal – what is good: To act justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with him. That’s it.
Miss you.
]]>Thanks, Blaine. It is a bit of a wrestling match, isn’t it? I mean, God is SO mysterious and he just doesn’t behave the way I think he SHOULD. And yet, as I struggle with illness, suffering, and loss, there’s no place I would rather be than in his love and in his hands.
Paul and I are so incredibly thankful for you and Kathy and the way we can be honest together about this faith walk that isn’t always so easy. Thank you for being faithful sojourners who relentlessly pursue that life well lived as well. YOU GUYS inspire US!!!
]]>Rather, do justice!
