We , too, just moved to an old house a few states away from we lived for 25 years – in a house we loved and built. The old house we are in is requiring huge amounts of fixing up – most of it unexpected and costly. But such a great reminder to be so thankful for the beauty that surrounds us, the shelter, warm wood stove, sun through the windows , a place to cook our own food…..and yes, we will never be done with the ‘projects’ I’m sure – but grateful that God isn’t finished with this old gal yet either:)
