Thanks so much, Char! It absolutely warmed my heart to see your name pop up in my inbox – the two of you mean SO much to me and Paul! What a wonderful opportunity to spend four months in Kenya! I have no doubt the experience changed you in such profound ways, it’s probably difficult to put words to it. And then to step back into “this other world” during the Christmas season had to be a shock to your system. We often referred to our life overseas as spending time in Narnia. That when we returned to the “real” world, everyone just looked at us slant eyed and in disbelief. They looked at us as if we were talking about Nyads and Dryads and Fauns and a White Witch. It is so incredibly difficult to reconcile the two worlds, isn’t it? We have been back 7 years now, and I still find my system in a bit of shock most days. Maybe God wants it that way…. Anyway, blessings to you and the family! Say “hello” to all of them from the DeBoers!!!

]]>Hello Julie! Sometimes finding that joy is more work and less a natural “feeling”, right? But even if we have to dig deep, it is still there. I know you know that reality of digging deep. May you truly EXPERIENCE the joy of Jesus this Christmas, my friend!
]]>I can almost feel that hug, Sarah! Thank-you! Merry Christmas!
