We know some of the same people (a lot, I would guess :)) and I know I’ve seen you around. Anyway, I’ve been reading your blog entries and thought I’d send some encouragement! I LOVE reading what you write! You’re hilarious and make such good points with spiritual wisdom. Thank you for this peticular entry. We all deal with this topic. Seems especially in this community, but I’m guessing it’s a nation wide thing now. We have four kids and the thought of spending the time and money JUST to have them in a sport makes me want to break out in hives! I’m NOT giving up date nights with my hubby or time with OUR friends. That’s how we became a family in the first place! And we must have time with our kids. We’re a family after all. It’s all about balance (or doing the best we can in that). This was such a good reminder to re evaluate and keep doing so. Prayerfully consider your yes’s. They are filled with wise admonitions as well as comical recountings. I remember those disgusting critters. Never compared them to a date, though. They really do resemble each other!
